Custom Orthotics at Albuquerque Foot & Ankle, Inc.

We specialize in custom-made arch supports for our patient's shoes. Custom orthotics are made off casts taken of one's feet.

A biomechanical exam is performed. Then a cast of each foot is taken. The casts and a prescription for the best device for each patient is then sent to an orthotics lab, where the devices are fabricated.

These come as a pair and last anywhere from five to ten years depending on usage. They are designed to help alleviate pain in the forefoot, arches, heels, ankles, legs, knees, and even the patient's back. The job of the orthotic is to put the foot into it's best position relative to the leg when standing.
